Read the following passage. Choose the best answer to each question. Why Do People Share on Social Media? Prakash Sutradhar The desire to share our thoughts, opinions, and experiences is one of the reason social media have become so popular. Research finds that we love to talk about ourselves; more than 50% tweets are “me” focused. The reason is, it is pleasant talking about ourselves. It is found that when we share about ourselves, the reward - seeking (追求奖励的) part of the brain gets activated (激活). It is the same part, which gets activated when we get food or money. It is clear that people like to talk about themselves, but what makes people talk about some of their thoughts and experiences more than others? Emotion: If you visit the Taj Mahal (泰姬陵), then most likely, you’re going to talk about it with others or upload a photo of it on Facebook. It is because Taj Mahal produced WOW feelings in you. When we experience WOW feeling, we are most likely to talk about it. Emotions drive us to share with others. We call our friends out of excitement when we hear any exciting news, we talk with our friends when we are sad. Sharing with people shapes our relationships with others. When we get angry with the boss, we search for someone who is also angry with the boss and then we both get angry. This way sharing our common emotion makes us closer. Public Opinion: When we are uncertain, then we look for clues (提示). We tend to do what everybody does. This is a social proof theory. It means if everyone is doing this, then it must be right. That is the reason. If more people are sharing it, then it must be worthy. If millions of views on any video then we are more likely to watch it. If the rating (评分) for a movie is high, then we are more likely to watch it. We look for other people to guide us. That is why in comedy TV serials (连续剧), they produce artificial (人造的) laughters in the background so that we also laugh.【缺少答案,请补充】
